Appreciation and Updates

Updated: Jul 14, 2020

HCI is beyond proud of the hard work and dedication our team members have exhibited the past few months as our industry has been flipped on its head. We wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the amazing things our team is doing to innovate and overcome these challenges.

Freddy’s

Across the board, our Freddy’s restaurants are setting sales records and breaking barriers. We’re now fully operational on Doordash, and will soon be launching a mobile ordering option on our loyalty app. This will allow guests to order and pick up their food with minimal wait, while still providing the hot and fresh food that is our signature.

HCI is proud to recognize Justin Hyatt of the Deep River location (Restaurant Operating Partner pictured above, Rich Corcoran) for earning the Bill Simon Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, funded by Freddy’s in honor of Co-Founder Bill Simon will assist Justin in achieving his dream of becoming a nurse. We’re proud of you!

Finally, Thursday, July 16th marks the beginning of our summer limited time offer at Freddy’s. This year, give the Hatch Green Chile burger or hotdog a taste, and wash it down with a key lime pie concrete! Don’t forget to show your loyalty app at the register to earn points towards free Freddy’s goodness!

Local Specialty Restaurants

Although seniors weren't able to have an ideal ending to their senior year, our Restaurant Operating Partner Raina Tomlinson stepped up to “adopt” 3 local seniors. She showered them with graduation gifts tailored to their personalities as well as purchased signs for their front yards to let the neighborhood know that there was a Bluejay Senior on their block!

Our team at Cox Bro’s. has remained steadfast throughout the summer, and are eager to continue giving back to the community in a safe and healthy environment. Usually we would have hosted our Pig Out for Parkinson’s event with Meadowlark much earlier in the year, but we have made some necessary adjustments. This year, Pig Out will be held on August 18th, with proceeds benefiting the Parkinson’s fund at Meadowlark. Our team will be practicing social distancing and sanitation methods to ensure everyone’s safety.

Coco Bolos has had a uniquely interesting year. Construction in Aggieville has made it difficult for our guests to find adequate parking to begin with, but we aren’t letting a few traffic cones hinder our love of loud food. During the initial shutdown, our team came up with a bold idea – offer our food in a drive thru setting! Our pop up drive thru specials were a huge hit the beginning of summer, and it made us wonder why we didn’t think of it sooner!

Speaking of innovative ideas, our Powercat Sports Grill team has taken this opportunity to get back in the kitchen and develop some new recipes. Be sure to follow all of our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) to be in the loop when these new dishes drop! They are sure to satisfy your cravings.

Woof’s Play & Stay

With many of our guests working from home, we really missed seeing our furry family members for a few weeks, but we’re happy to say that we’re continuing to grow and see more and more dogs every day! Our grooming operations are back up and running, and we are working to develop even more great services for our guests.

The dog days of summer call for some fun in the sun, so don’t let your dog miss out on playing in the pool with all of their friends!

HCI Hospitality, and all of our brands and team members would like to thank our loyal guests from the bottom of our hearts. There is still a long road ahead of adjusting to a new normal in our industry, but without the faith and trust of our guests, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We hope that these updates shed some light on upcoming excitement. We hope to see you all in our restaurants or Woof’s locations soon!

Sincerely,

HCI Marketing Team
